about

I've always wanted to try a pop-funk tune. I wrote this song during the summer of 2009 and wanted to convey a care-free attitude. It's a bit of a departure of form but I hope you enjoy.

lyrics

The temperature is up
A coffee in my cup
It’s a perfect get-away
I see you sitting there
Life without a care
There’s no place I’d rather be
Ooh, I love the way
You love the way you touch me
I love your softest little touch

In the heat of the summer time
In the heat of the summer time
Oh yah

We’re driving up the coast
The road I like the most
Cali’s got the number one
The wind blows through your hair
Makes me wanna stare
Feeling great under the sun
Ooh, I love the way
You love the way you love me
I love your softest little touch
